The Healthiest Restaurants in Miami, Verified for 2026

Most "healthiest restaurants in Miami" lists are written by people who have never eaten at half the places on them. At least one still recommends a juice chain that closed in 2018.

Every place on this list gets judged the same way: what's actually in the food.

Most “healthiest restaurants in Miami” lists are written by people who have never eaten at half the places on them. At least one still recommends a juice chain that closed in 2018.

We run two kitchens here. We eat around this city constantly, mostly on our days off, mostly at other people’s counters. So this is the list we’d actually give a friend who asked — with the standard we used, the neighborhoods everyone else skips, and a note at the end about the places that are gone.

We’re on it too. We’ll tell you exactly where.

The standard we used

Every guide should say what it’s measuring. Most don’t. One of the biggest Miami lists literally frames itself as “kind of healthy” and never commits.

Here’s ours. A restaurant made this list if it does at least three of these four: cooks proteins to order rather than holding them, publishes or will tell you where the food comes from, builds flavor from ingredients instead of burying it under sauce, and has a menu that works as an everyday meal rather than a once-a-month reset.

That last one matters more than it sounds. Food you eat twice a year doesn’t change anything.

True Food Kitchen — The Falls, Kendall

The only sit-down restaurant in South Miami-Dade designed around an actual clinical framework. The menu is built on the anti-inflammatory food pyramid developed by Dr. Andrew Weil, an integrative-medicine physician who co-founded the restaurant with Sam Fox. Every dish is meant to adhere to those principles rather than gesture at them.

Where: 8888 SW 136th St, Suite 340A, inside The Falls. It’s their only Miami-Dade location.

If you want a real sit-down dinner that isn’t a compromise, this is the one in our trade area. It opened at The Falls in mid-2022, roughly fourteen years after the first store in Phoenix.

Naked Farmer — Downtown and Coral Gables

Farm-to-table built as a fast-casual assembly line. You order a Plate — one main, one grain or green, two Harvest Sides — or a Farmer’s Basket if you’d rather have a third side than a protein.

Where: 200 S Biscayne Blvd, Suite 145 (Southeast Financial Center) and 137 Giralda Ave in Coral Gables.

The sourcing is the differentiator and they’re specific about it: roughly 70% of the food is locally sourced, with organic greens coming from Brick Street Farms and a stated goal of getting to 100%. Founded in 2020 by Jordan Johnson out of Tampa Bay. The charred broccoli is the side to get.

Vale Healthy Kitchen — Brickell and Pinecrest

Build-your-own protein bowls, wraps, salads and açaí, with a posted value menu that keeps a full lunch in the $10–13 range.

Where: 900 S Miami Ave, Suite 125 in Brickell, and 9537 S Dixie Hwy in Pinecrest.

Worth knowing: it’s mid-rebrand from Vale Food Co, so you’ll see both names on signage and delivery apps. The origin explains the menu — it started in Tallahassee in 2014 as a healthy meal-plan delivery and catering business, then converted into restaurants. That’s why the portioning feels like meal prep rather than restaurant plating.

Avo Miami — South Miami, Miami Beach, Coconut Grove

The clearest kitchen rules of anyone on this list, stated plainly on their own site: zero seed oils, no microwaves, grass-fed and organic meats, wild-caught fish, everything made to order.

Where: 5958 S Dixie Hwy in South Miami, 1834 Bay Rd in Miami Beach, 2911 Grand Ave in Coconut Grove.

All-day breakfast through dinner. The Power Bowl comes with wild-caught seared tuna, and the protein French toast is the one thing here we’ve argued about internally.

Pura Vida Miami — 21 locations, including Kendall

The most convenient option in the county by a wide margin — 21 Miami-Dade locations, including one on North Kendall Drive at 7535 N Kendall Dr.

All-day breakfast, açaí bowls, fresh-squeezed juices, salads and wraps. Founded in 2012 by Omer Horev and run by Omer and Jennifer Horev. In 2024 they became the first outside hospitality operator to open on Fisher Island, which tells you something about how the brand is regarded here.

If you’re moving around Miami all day and want one reliable name, it’s this one.

Sproutz — Brickell, Sunny Isles, Doral

Wraps, açaí bowls and salads, in Miami since 2017. The Chipotle Chicken Wrap — chicken, brown rice, black beans, chipotle sauce, jack cheese and mango-avocado salsa — is the item they’re known for, and the Kale Crunch Salad with cranberry, almonds, roasted squash and goat cheese is the one we order.

Where: 40 SW 12th St in Brickell, 17100 Collins Ave #110 in Sunny Isles Beach, 5875 NW 105th Ct in Doral.

Note that their Aventura Mall location has closed, though it still appears on some listings.

Under the Mango Tree — South Beach

Part organic cafe, part general store, with an actual mango tree inside. Cold-pressed juices, açaí, vegan sandwiches, and a smoothie made with house-made hemp milk — which we have not seen anywhere else in this city.

Where: 737 5th St, Miami Beach. Open from 8 a.m. on weekdays.

It’s the least corporate room on this list. You can buy local honey and a candle on your way out.

Phat’s Kitchen — Kendall Drive and Cutler Bay

Ours. Here’s the honest pitch and the honest limitation.

Every regular protein smoothie we blend lands at 24 grams of real whey. The Caesar comes in at 35 grams, the Phat Attack at 32. Nothing is pre-batched — smoothies are blended to order and proteins come off the hot line, which is why average ticket time at peak Friday lunch is 4 minutes 50 seconds rather than 90 seconds. The kitchen is open, so you watch the entire build. There’s no kitchen door to hide behind.

Where: 11559 N Kendall Dr, inside Kendall Market Place, and 20714 US-1 in Cutler Bay. Counter pickup, no delivery.

The limitation: we’re a counter, not a dining room. If you want to sit down for two hours, go to True Food Kitchen. If you want a bowl built in front of you in five minutes on the way back to work, that’s what we’re built for.

The places other lists still send you to

This is the part no one updates, and it’s the fastest way to tell whether a guide was actually checked.

We verified every open venue above in August 2026. Hours and addresses still change — check Google before you drive across the county.

Where to find us

We’re on Kendall Drive inside Kendall Market Place and on US-1 in Cutler Bay, open from 8 a.m. daily. You can see the full menu first, or go straight to the protein smoothies, the açaí bowls or the Phat Meals.

If you’re deciding between us and somewhere else on this list, that’s the point of writing it this way. Pick the one that fits the meal.

Written by our operations co-founder, who eats at most of these places on his days off. Every open venue was verified against the restaurant’s own site or listing in August 2026, and every closure was confirmed against a dated source. We update this guide when something on it changes — last verified August 11, 2026.
